TYPES OF PLATE BOUNDARY
The earth’s lithosphere is made up of a number of plates shown below. At the edges of theses plates there are ridges or trenches where crust is being created or destroyed. Although change is occurring, the earth is in a state of DYNAMIC EQUILIBRIUM.
The features found at plate boundaries will depend upon the type of plate boundary and the nature of the crust involved (continental or oceanic).
There are 3 types of plate boundary:
1. Converging/Destructive Margin
2. Diverging/Constructive Margin
3. Passive/Transform/Conservative Margin
